I walked into my classroom this morning excited to be implementing Daily Five for the first time. I came in, put my stuff down, and caught a whiff of....something. I sniffed around and determined that, yes, I was in fact, smelling......a dead mouse.
At the beginning of the day, I couldn't really tell where the smell was coming from. I sprayed with room spray, but then I just smelled cinnamon flavored dead mouse. Trust me, this will NOT become a new Yankee Candle scent!
As the day wore on, I figured it out. It was in the HEATER! While my kids were in their encore class, I

Oh no...not another yankee candle scent...HA! That would have had me in a tizzy for sure...way to start your week off with a bang, huh?

OH MY GOSH! How dumb am I? I hadn't even THOUGHT of the umpteen brothers and sisters running around...alive! GULP!

@ Barbara: Okay...I did feel a little bad for it...especially when I remembered that at this time last year, our One School, One Book reading project was "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh!"
